QA Manual Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mid-Level Manual QA Engineer, working fully remotely from anywhere in Ukraine. This full-time position is perfect for a detail-oriented QA professional with a strong background in manual testing and Linux environments, who possesses a keen interest in developing their skills in business analysis, particularly within the Fintech and capital markets sectors. You will be crucial in ensuring the quality of our sophisticated systems through rigorous manual testing, while also contributing to the analysis of requirements and collaborating closely with our international development and product teams in Paris and London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Execution: Analyze new functionality and business requirements, design comprehensive test strategies and test cases, and perform thorough manual testing across various software releases.
• API Integration Testing: Participate in deploying, configuring, and meticulously testing API integrations within the Linux back-end environment.
• Business Analysis Support: Collaborate with the Development team to perform business analysis of API documentation and product features, helping to translate business needs into testable scenarios and ensuring requirements are clearly understood.
• Environment Management: Assist in upgrading and maintaining dedicated testing environments, utilizing tools like Jenkins for automation or performing manual procedures when necessary.
• Regression Testing: Execute planned regression test suites, meticulously analyze the results, identify and document defects, and prepare clear, detailed reports on test outcomes.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Engage in effective daily communication and collaboration with international colleagues based in Paris and London, including developers, project managers, and product owners, to ensure project alignment and efficient issue resolution.

Must-Have Skills:

• A strong understanding and proven practical application of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience focused on manual software testing.
• At least 2 years of demonstrable experience working with Linux back-end systems, including strong command-line proficiency.
• Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation (e.g., test plans, test cases, bug reports).
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data verification, querying, and manipulation.
• Basic understanding of requirements gathering processes and fundamental business analysis principles.
• A genuine desire and motivation to grow professionally into a Business Analyst role, with a specific interest in the Fintech or capital markets domain.
• Upper-Intermediate level of spoken and written English, essential for effective collaboration within an international team environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience using Git for version control practices.
• Familiarity with issue and project tracking software, particularly Jira.
